Excerpt (002): Black American Slang
Nadina: but to be fair, is saying ‘nigga’ that bad?
Me: it isn’t- not to me… But to old black people, yes, they don’t like it- even though they use it- cultural ownership thing.
Nadina: So if you say nigga to a young black person- he’ll be fine with it?
Me: It’s usually considered a term of endearment to young folks, or just a general term for a person.
Everybody is a nigga to me, not just black people
Nadina: really?
Me: Yeah, like Bush. Bush is a bitch ass nigga.
Nadina: You can use nigga for people who are not black as well?
Me: Sure can. I do it everyday.
Nadina: That’s really weird to me.
Me: It’s quite empowering actually. I’ll explain that later- or maybe another day.
Nadina: So the three put together don’t actually mean anything… it’s just the fact that they are put together that is taken as an insult, right?
Me: you say a man is a bitch (a girl and therefore, less than a man) ass (for connecting purposes only) nigga (recognizing that he is of the male persuasion, but you still calling him a bitch)
Nadina: Ass for connecting purposes only…
Me: Yeah, just to make it flow.
Nadina: You really have to be careful when using ass because remember- I am picturing hard.
Me: (laughing) yeah well, you can call someone a “punk ass bitch” or a “trick ass hoe,” or in the case of our current president [George W. Bush] a bitch ass nigga.
Nadina: So ass is really just for connecting purposes only?
Me: Well just in this case, because black guys in America love a fat ass.
Nadina: It’s a good thing you mention that because you really have to explain why’s that?
Me: …To be honest… I don’t know. I like a girl to be proportionate.
Nadina: A girl with a fat ass is not necessarily proportionate.
Me: Right, but your average black dude is really attracted to a woman’s behind
Nadina: That is so weird though…
Excerpt From The Book I'm Writing (001)
I don’t smoke or drink, which is why I don’t frequent clubs. You literally have to be intoxicated to enjoy today’s popular urban music in good conscience.
Music is supposed to evoke feeling and relay a message for the moment. That’s why music is the most popular form of entertainment (if not the only form) in church. The pastor will deliver a sermon, which is the message of the moment, and then...

I’m sharing my ideas about radio and the direction I’d like to take Tha 4.0 Show on an internet radio station in this episode. I decided against becoming the “perpetually excited radio host” and shared my thoughts in a conversational tone instead. There’s also no need to backlog songs on a podcast, but I know how to do that as well. If you are a program director...

Merry Christmas Fools!
Everybody is always asking me what I’m listening to, I guess the internet only works for me. A lot of people claim they don’t have time to find new music so they just listen to whatever they think everybody else is listening to- or don’t listen at all. On my end- it takes WAY to much time to beg everybody to listen to a tape or check out an artist, or even send out links to as...

DJ K.O. - "Living Out a State of Mind, Vol. 1" →
After the incredible “Picture This” album, DJ K.O. vowed to release a new tape every month working with different emcees. Volume 1 has me looking forward to the rest as it didn’t disappoint. Vol. 2 should be live any day now…
Sean Price - "Kimbo Price" →
Sean uses media excerpts from Mike Tyson’s career while alluding to Ultimate Fighter Kimbo Slice. The theme works perfectly because whether you mess with Iron Mike, Kimbo Slice, or Sean P.- you get punched in the face… (Also note the play on the “Punchout” cover.)
Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa - "How Fly" →
This may have been my favorite mixtape of the year- and I don’t smoke weed… The beats and rhymes are all fresh, and these two emcees show you how to live life on the road and stay fly.
